GRASS-FED + FINISHED HIGHLAND BEEF QUARTER (DEPOSIT)
For the first time ever, we have grass-fed + finished beef quarters available for sale!
This steer has been processed at Mount Brydges Abattoir (a provincially inspected facility) on September 26, and will be dry-aged for 21 days. It will be ready to be picked-up around October 17.
Our quarters are priced at $7.50/lb which includes all processing & wrapping fees. The hanging weight of this quarter steer is 112 lbs, which equals a total price of $840.
To reserve your quarter, we require a deposit of $200 (non-refundable/non-transferable). Prior to pick-up, we will email you an invoice for the remaining amount owing ($640).
You will be able to specify your preferred cuts, which the abattoir will walk you through.
When your beef is ready to be picked up, the abattoir will contact you directly to let you know. You will be responsible for picking up your beef directly from Mount Brydges Abattoir (located at 21618 Adelaide Rd, Mount Brydges, ON N0L 1W0). We will not be offering local pick-up or delivery for any beef products.
With environmental impact and sustainability at the forefront of mind, we raise our highlands entirely on grass, through our strict rotational grazing system. We take immense pride in the love and respect these animals receive under our care. They are all lovingly-named, and live healthy, happy lives with only one bad day.
Highland beef is lean, and lower in saturated fat and cholesterol compared to commercial breeds - plus it has higher levels of protein and iron. All beef is good beef, but if you haven’t tried Highland beef before, we’d love for you to try ours!
